We just discovered Prems adda! Thats the title of Prems forthcoming film in which hell once again don the greasepaint, after the debacle of his acting debut, Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melide (PYBM).The actor-director, whos busy with his next release, Raj... The Showman, says hell get started with Adda as soon as he finishes directing Jogis sequel, Jogayya.
I wont direct Adda, even though Ive penned its story. But Ive ensured that Ive rectified the mistakes I made while scripting PYBM. And Ive handed over the responsibility of directing this flick to one of my boys. Adda will also be produced by the boys who work as technicians in my team, says Prem.
The film, he says, will be just like English cinema. Adda will be very real, and not like the regular stuff you see in films these days. And this time, Ill be back as a typical hero beefed-up body, change of get-up, and a funky hairdo. I didnt give all this much importance in PYBM and appeared on-screen like a normal guy. So, Adda will have a new approach and Im doing all this only to please my audience, Prem tells us. And while the heroine for the film will be a Kannada da hudugi people keep telling me that I only bring Mumbai heroines it will also feature a popular B-town face. In PYBM, I brought down Mallika Sherawat. This time, were trying to rope in Bipasha Basu for a song, he shares. But why isnt he directing Adda? Does he find it tough to act and call the shots? I have too many commitments this year. Theres Raj, which is up for release, after which Ill direct Jogayya. Then theres a Telugu film thats been offered to me. Ive two more films to direct for Puneet. I dont want to take too much on my hands, explains Prem.Theres also talk that hes taking really long to wrap up Raj. Why do most of his films take a year to finish? I know. Even my friends ask me why I take so long to finish my projects. But thats how long it takes if a film has to be technically and aesthetically sound. Otherwise, it becomes a mamooli film I dont want to be a mamooli film-maker, he asserts. Now, his sole focus is on Raj. Everyone from the distributors and exhibitors, to the black market fellows, are asking me when Raj will release. I wont say the film is different, but full family koothkondu enjoy maado story idu, promises Prem.
